No Olympics, But We Sure Do Have The Marathon

Sorry Chicago we never got the opportunity to host the Olympics in Chicago for 2016, which means Olympic Village will not become apartments and condominiums. However, we certainly do have the spirit when it comes to supporting and cheering on our fellow Chicagoans. I had the opportunity to volunteer for this year’s marathon and it was just an ecstatic and energetic place to be. Chicagoans everywhere had the chance to unite as one and run jog or walk to the finish line. Being at aid station 6 on Clark St. and Belden Ave., you can only see how much a marathon truly means to an individual, especially for someone who is sponsored and is supporting a cause such as Breast Cancer. I look forward to the next event I will get to volunteer at and make a difference to someone no matter how small the impact.
